La Riviere Farmers' Market
Includes local vendors selling fresh home grown vegetables, home baking, and canned goods, sewing, knitting, crafts, jewellery, annual and prennials, wool, etc. Runs every Thursday 4-6pm at the La Riviere Recreation Centre from June 10th to the end of September. Oak Valley Outdoor Theatre and Recreation Site
Just east of the village and on the banks of the Mary Jane Creek, host to the Oak Valley Productions Inc. and featureing hiking/walking/meditation trails, toboggan run, family entertainment, picnic areas, and a scenic view of the valley.
La Riviere Nature Watch Station
Located at the Pembina La Riviere Campground along the Pembina River and featureing an informational board and brochues, a guest book and concrete bench for leisurely nature watching. Contact Ev at 242-3272
Archibald Historical Museum
Located NE of La Riviere and features guided tours of two furnished homes of Nellie McClung (author, legislator and women's rights activist), La Riviere CPR station and other areas of prairie pioneer live. Open May - September, Fri - Tues, noon- 8pm. 242-2825 or 242-2554.
Binney Nature Preserve
East and North of La Riviere, it's an interpretive park with boardwalk and trails. A natural abundance of wild flowers, native trees and pond life. Self guided tours. Critter kits available at Manitou Conservation Office.
Grandma's Miniature Farm
East of town, it hosts miniature farm animals, and old fashion wool processing.
Mary Jane resevoir - Wallcraft Park
Located NE of town in a beautiful place to camp, relax and take in a swim, some boating or fishing
Snowflake- Star Mound School
Loated SW of La Riviere, Star Mound is a native burial ground and home to a one room school, now a museum.
